COMMUNITY

Philanthropy has long been important to the Goeres family, who started Lodi Canning, and the company’s mission has always been to serve the community. Lodi Canning’s history of servitude is lengthy, but it begins with T.O. Goeres bringing the Works Progress Administration to Lodi during the Great Depression. The WPA built the beautiful city park, which included a stream running through it.

After funding and creating the park, the Goeres family financed the city pool that is still free for all residents. These hometown values have stood the test of time in both the town and the Lodi Canning Company. The Lodi Canning continues to support locals and projects, most recently with an endowment fund to help various people in the community.
